- Calculated Industries 7440 AccuMASTER XT: a pin-type moisture meter (the editor uses this model or a nearly identical one).
- TOPDON TC001: a thermal imaging camera that plugs into an Android phone or tablet.
- Fulljion dual-lens borescope (semi-rigid cable, for iPhone/iPad/Samsung): the editor's own note: "ok for the price, but the built-in light can be inadequate in very dark spaces. Might move up a category." Currently unavailable at the retailer as of 2026-10-02.
